The SMLIGHT SLZB-06/06M/06p7/06p10/06Mg24 are network devices that act as a central bridge for managing communications in a Zigbee network. The SLZB-06 can also serve a Matter-over-Thread network. The devices are specifically designed for Zigbee2MQTT and ZHA Home Assistant, ensuring immediate and seamless operation. These devices have the smallest dimensions and the most comprehensive package.

Q1: Do these coordinators work with Zigbee2MQTT and ZHA?
A1: Yes, all models work with both Zigbee2MQTT and ZHA.

Q2: Is it advantageous to use the SLZB-06p7 based on the new C2652P7 SoC?
A2: If you don't plan on having more than 200 Zigbee end devices, you don't need to pay extra for the CC2652P7 chip. Furthermore, the CC2652P and CC2652P7 are based on the same 48MHz Cortex-M4F processor; the only difference is the RAM.

Q3: Can I connect multiple adapters to the same Home Assistant instance?
A3: Yes, you can. You will need to run two or more instances of Zigbee2MQTT. Please consult the product manual for further explanation.

Q4: Can I use 24V “passive” PoE?
A4: The adapter supports the IEEE 802.3af active PoE standard. Therefore, only PoE routers and injectors that comply with this standard will work.

Q5: Can the device be used in Wi-Fi mode?
A5: Yes, you can. Simply select Zigbee-Wi-Fi mode and connect to your Wi-Fi network.

Q6: Are there any delays in Zigbee when using it over Ethernet?
A6: No, 100Mb Ethernet is actually much faster than the transmission speed used for the 115k USB serial connection.

Q7: My Home Assistant server is in the basement. Can I put the SLZB-06 in my living room and connect to it via Ethernet?
A7: Yes, this is basically the strong point of the SLZB-06: you can place your Zigbee adapter wherever you want and you don't even have to connect it to the server. It even works with remote connections from distant buildings.
